Extensive literature review on plasticisers

An extensive review of the literature was performed to identify scientific articles relevant exposure assessment potential plasticiser substances. The initial search resulted in a database consisting 21,453 papers provided by EFSA. relevance analysis documents screening titles and abstracts applying inclusion exclusion criteria identified 582 documents. In subsequent step, full text carried out for further study selection categorisation 383 documents, distributed over following 8 areas interests: Area 1 (plasticisers food) - 72 references; 2 (dietary exposure) 30 3 (market share food chain) 21 4 (migration plasticisers) 65 5 (packaged 9 6 (non-food use 73 7 (non-dietary 88 (overall 115 references. A data form prepared, high-level information were extracted from each reference, reporting considered useful plasticisers, line with interest. addition, summary paragraph provided.
